"As an artist, I am drawn to subjects in nature and life that move me emotionally. With inspiration from walks on the beach, kayaking along the salt marshes, exploring cities, or spending time with loved ones - color, movement, texture, and light are combined to create expressive and poetic compositions in my art.
I enjoy creating large-scale expressive paintings that capture the essence of the subject matter. My Coastal Landscapes and Salt Life Reflections are greatly inspired by my travels to the Eastern Shores of Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. I also delight in explorations of figurative paintings - with crowds, marches, and portraits of people who inspire me. I use bold brush strokes and vibrant color to create a presence, feeling, or state of mind.
